The true story
First-grader Dave Clark is an active kid who loves playing with his dog, Duke. After losing the use of his legs to polio as a baby, Dave wears full-length leg braces and uses crutches.
When his teacher announces a walking field trip to the local fire station, Dave begins to worry. What if he needs a break? What if he cannot keep up?
His classmate Ernie Pound notices and comes up with a simple plan: a Radio Flyer wagon. That thoughtful act makes sure Dave is included and becomes a memory he carries throughout his life.
You may never know the weight that a small act of kindness can have on a person's life. Dave Clark
